Melissa TrujilloProgram Coordinator III

Melissa Trujillo’s current role is Program Coordinator III for the Community Engagement team. In her role, Melissa facilitates focus groups with community members to learn how the pandemic affected them and their families, as well as to hear their ideas on how to prepare for future emergencies. Melissa is working to create community driven solutions for the COVID-19 recovery response based on the community’s collective input. Furthermore, she conducts outreach and presentations on emergency preparedness. Melissa’s previous experience includes working as a case manager with unhoused families, serving on the board of a local nonprofit organization, and as a patient navigator with a Federally Qualified Health Center. Melissa believes everyone should have affordable and accessible healthcare. She is passionate about decreasing barriers to healthcare, and advocating for health equity.
