Know Your Rights Workshop

On March 1, 2017 Community Health Partnership conducted a Know Your Rights workshop in partnership with Services, Immigrant Rights, and Education Network (SIREN) and Asian Law Alliance (ALA) for community health clinic outreach and enrollment staff and behavioral health care providers. With over 90 people in attendance, participants learned about the current climate of immigration enforcement in our community, and specifically what community clinics and patients can do to preserve their rights and stay safe.

SIREN Policy and Advocacy Director Priya Murthy and ALA attorney Theodore Ko spoke on a range of immigration topics, gave guidance on what clinics and patients can do in the event of an US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid, and answered questions from the audience.

Community Health Partnership has made resources presented at the workshop available through its website.
