Cathryn HydeDEPUTY DIRECTOR OF POLICY & EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Cathryn Hyde comes to Community Health Partnership with a distinguished career in the public sector which includes 35+ years of public policy experience. Prior to joining CHP. Ms. Hyde most recently served for 16 years as Constituent Services Director for Congressman Mike Honda who represented California’s Silicon Valley. Ms. Hyde also arrives with considerable experience in County government having served four members of the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors as a senior policy advisor.
As CHP’s Director of Policy and External Relations, Ms. Hyde works closely with our member health centers to develop and advance policy priorities to support their work to provide accessible, affordable, and culturally/linguistically appropriate health care to all. Ms. Hyde’s federal, state, and county legislative and policy experience has given CHP the capacity it needs to communicate the importance of advocacy regarding federal, state, and county health center funding, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, immigrant rights, public charge, COVID-19 response, and issues that have yet to surface. Her passion for promoting human rights and providing quality healthcare for all led her to Community Health Partnership where she hopes to continue her lifelong commitment to public service.
