OD2A: Overdose Data To Action

Overdose Data to Action (OD2A)

The Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) program is a nationwide initiative to reduce overdose-related deaths by expanding access and awareness to supportive services, while simultaneously reducing stigma surrounding substance use disorders (SUDs).

Overview:

OD2A in Santa Clara County is a partnership between SCC Public Health, CDC, and community organizations such as Community Health Partnership. Community Health Partnership supports harm reduction initiatives throughout its member clinic organizations through the OD2A program, with the aim to increase access to supportive services to people who use drugs (PWUD) across the county. These supportive services include medicated assisted treatment (MAT) access, expanding access to naloxone (Narcan), counseling and contingency management, and more.

This program’s activities are facilitated in partnership with two of Community Health Partnership’s member organizations: Peninsula Healthcare Connection and Gardner Health Services. Each team brings a unique history of supportive care to their communities.
